Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.

An official for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was made after an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.

The company did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
